01 / The short version
We do not collect your Godparent data.
Godparent is an offline-first app. It does not require an account and does not send the information you create in the app to a Godparent server. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or build a profile about you.
The app may use Apple system services that you choose to enable, such as Photos, Camera, Microphone, Face ID or Touch ID, notifications, and the App Store. Those services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
02 / Information in the app
What you write stays with you.
You may choose to enter names, dates, notes, gift history, journal entries, letters, photos, videos, and voice memories. This information is stored locally by the app on your device. Photos, videos, and voice recordings used with letters are copied into the app’s private storage area.
Godparent does not include a public profile, social feed, cloud sync, analytics service, AI service, affiliate tracking, or advertising network. The app has no server or account system for us to access.
03 / Permissions
You decide which parts of the device to share.
You can change these permissions in iPhone Settings. If you decline a permission, the related feature may not be available, but the rest of the app can continue to work.
04 / Your choices
Export, import, or remove your data.
Godparent includes tools to export and import your app data. When you export, the resulting file leaves the app only when you choose a destination through the iOS share sheet. Treat exported files as sensitive and store them somewhere you trust.
You can edit or delete information inside the app. You can also delete the app from your device. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data according to Apple’s system behavior, so export anything you want to keep first.
