A few useful answers.

These cover the parts of Godparent people ask about most often.

Where is my data stored?

Godparent stores the information you create locally on your device. There is no Godparent account or server. Read the Privacy Policy for the full details.

How do I protect my private letters?

Open Settings in Godparent and enable the privacy option for letters. When enabled, the app asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before opening private letters and memories.

Why did I not receive a reminder?

Godparent uses local notifications. Check that notifications are allowed for Godparent in iPhone Settings, and confirm the reminder preference for the date inside the app. Notifications are scheduled on the device and do not depend on an account or server.

Can I move my data to a new device?

Use Export my data in Settings, keep the exported file somewhere you trust, and use Import data on the new device. Treat the export as private because it may contain the information you entered into the app.

How do I report a bug?

Email support@godparent.app with your device model, iOS version, the app version if available, and the steps that led to the problem. Please leave out private letters and photos.

A note about the app

Godparent is offline-first.

That means your dates, letters, gift ideas, and memories are designed to be available without an account or network connection. It also means a device backup and your own export are important if you want another copy.
