Short version: Baby Hippo Coloring doesn't collect personal information, doesn't show ads, and doesn't track your child. Here's the full story.
Overview
Baby Hippo Coloring ("the App") is a coloring book app for children published by Baby Hippo Coloring ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App interacts with, why, and the choices you have. We built the App to be usable entirely offline and to avoid collecting personal data wherever possible — that's a design choice, not just a legal one.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not require an account, sign-in, or profile. We do not collect names, email addresses, birthdates, photos of your child, location data, or contact lists. The App does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics, or tracking pixels, and it does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
What Stays On Your Device
- Coloring progress: Which pages you've started, colors used, and unlocked content are stored locally on your device.
- Finished artwork: If you choose to save a completed page, it is written to your device's Photos library and never uploaded to us.
None of this information leaves your device or is transmitted to our servers, because the App has no backend server for user content.
Permissions the App May Request
Photos Access
Requested only when you tap "Save" on a finished coloring page, so the artwork can be added to your Photos library. You can change or revoke this at any time in Settings → Baby Hippo Coloring → Photos on your device.
Purchases
Baby Hippo Coloring offers an optional Premium unlock (monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time Lifetime purchase) that is processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID password — that information is handled solely by Apple in accordance with the Apple Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Baby Hippo Coloring is designed for children and is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App contains no chat features, no user-generated public content, no social sharing within the app, and no third-party advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below and we will promptly delete it.
Third-Party Services
The only third party involved in the App's operation is Apple Inc., which provides the App Store, StoreKit purchase processing, and standard iOS system frameworks (such as Photos access). We do not integrate any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs.
Data Retention & Deletion
Since coloring progress and saved artwork live only on your device, deleting the App or the corresponding Photos removes that data. To reset in-app progress without deleting the App, use the reset option in Settings if available, or simply reinstall the App.
Children Under 13 / Parental Rights
Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to ask questions about this policy or about how the App handles device permissions. Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is generally no personal data for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf beyond what already lives on your device.
International Users
The App can be used worldwide. Because processing of personal data by us is minimal to none, no cross-border data transfer of personal information occurs through our systems.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, note it within the App's release notes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
