RenoBudget is a small, focused app. Most things you'll want to know are below. If your question isn't answered here, get in touch and we'll help.
Before you write
Include your device model, iOS version, and the app version (Settings → About inside the app). It helps us help you faster.
Troubleshooting
My Pro purchase isn't showing up
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy. If it still doesn't appear, check your internet connection and try again in a few minutes — App Store entitlements can take a moment to propagate.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're managed in iOS, not in the app:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Select RenoBudget to change your plan or cancel.
You can also open this Apple subscriptions link directly. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Requesting a refund
All purchases go through Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We're not able to issue refunds directly.
I changed phones — where's my data?
RenoBudget stores your project on the device. If you restored your new device from an iCloud or computer backup, your data comes across with it. If you set the new device up as new, the data does not transfer automatically — restore from a backup that includes the old device, or keep the old device until you've exported a PDF report of anything you need.
Notifications aren't arriving
Check that reminders are enabled in the app's Settings, and that notifications for RenoBudget are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → RenoBudget. Reminders are scheduled locally, so they'll still fire even without a network connection.
A number looks wrong
The budget separates paid (settled cash), committed (accepted quotes and approved change orders, minus payments already made against them) and estimated amounts. A deposit logged against a specific quote reduces that commitment rather than adding to it. If a figure still looks off, email us a screenshot and we'll take a look.
Privacy & data
RenoBudget has no account and no servers. Your data never leaves your device through the app. Full details are in the Privacy Policy. To erase everything, delete the project in the app or remove the app from your device.
Feature requests
We keep a list and read every message. If there's a part of your renovation the app doesn't cover yet, tell us how you work today and what would help — that's the most useful thing you can send.
Reach us: support@renobudget.app — bugs, billing, feedback and questions all welcome.
