Terms of Service
Last updated: September 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your download and use of the RenoBudget application for iPhone and iPad (“the app”). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”). These Terms are between you and the developer of RenoBudget only, not with Apple.
2. What the app is — and is not
RenoBudget is a personal planning and record‑keeping tool for home renovation projects. It helps you organise budgets, quotes, contractors, tasks, receipts, photos and documents.
It is not professional advice. RenoBudget does not provide financial, accounting, legal, tax, construction, engineering or contractor advice. Calculations and summaries are provided for your convenience and may contain errors. Always verify figures independently and consult a qualified professional before making financial or construction decisions.
3. Your content and your responsibility
All data you enter remains yours and is stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of the budgets, quotes, payments and other information you enter.
- Backing up your device. We cannot recover data that is lost because a device is lost, damaged, reset, or because the app is deleted.
- Any decisions or agreements you make with contractors or suppliers.
4. Free features and RenoBudget Pro
The app offers a set of features at no charge. Additional features (“Pro”) are available through:
- an auto‑renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly; or
- a one‑time “Lifetime” purchase that unlocks Pro features for the life of the app on your Apple ID.
Current prices are shown in the app before you buy. Prices may change; any change will be shown to you before it takes effect and will not affect a purchase already made.
Billing and renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the then‑current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue refunds directly. See Apple's “Request a refund” guide.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse‑engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law; not to resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the app; and not to use it in any unlawful way.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its name, logo, design, and all associated software are owned by the developer of RenoBudget and are protected by intellectual‑property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to those marks or materials beyond the licence in Section 1.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or that defects will be corrected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of RenoBudget will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, savings or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Apple‑specific terms
- These Terms are between you and the developer only. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third‑party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Termination
These Terms apply until terminated. Your licence ends automatically if you fail to comply with them. You may end it at any time by deleting the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6–8) will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version is always posted on this page with a “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's principal place of business, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer‑protection rights you have where you live.
